This is the block almost nobody includes, and it is the one that gets you scheduled.
In fact, a farm does not hire "a worker". That block does four things. It proves the crop, which transfers less widely than people assume, since almond harvest and table grape harvest share almost no skills. The window is the second thing it proves. It proves duration, because a worker who has done post-harvest sanitation stayed past the money. The pesticide applicator credential is a real license, issued by your state
People underestimate this one because the work is outdoors and hourly. It is a regulated credential and belongs on the page with its category and number.

Where farm worker openings come from
BLS is explicit about where those openings come from: employment is projected to decline 2 percent, and all of the roughly 111,500 projected annual openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to other occupations or exit the labor force.
