Classic

One clean column suits any job and reads well both on screen and in an applicant tracking system.

ATS-friendly

What makes a template ATS-friendly.

An applicant tracking system reads your file as plain text. A template is ATS-friendly when that text comes out complete and in the right order. These four rules do most of the work.

Real text, not pictures of text

Every word should be selectable text. Skill bars, rating dots and text inside images carry nothing the software can read, so “expert in Python” simply disappears.

Contact details in the body

Some systems skip the page header and footer. Keep your name, email and phone at the top of the page itself, where they always come through.

Standard section headings

“Experience”, “Education” and “Skills” tell the software where each part starts. Creative headings look fun but can leave whole sections unlabeled.

A clear reading order

Text boxes and tables can scramble the order your words come out in. One column, or a sidebar built to read cleanly, keeps your story in sequence.

See it for yourself. The free ATS resume checker shows a parse preview: the text an applicant tracking system pulls from your file. Two-column layouts don’t fail automatically, but if yours was affected, you will see it there.

Are Rezoom’s resume templates free?

You can use them free to start. The free plan includes 1 resume with plain text (TXT) download and no credit card. Paid plans add unlimited resumes and cover letters across all 500+ templates, PDF download and AI mock interviews. See pricing.

Are these resume templates ATS-friendly?

Yes. Every template uses real text, standard section headings and a reading order that applicant tracking systems can parse. For the strictest systems, choose Pure ATS. Before you apply, the ATS resume checker shows the exact text the software extracts.

How many resume templates are there?

More than 500 in the app. They are built from five families (Professional, Classic, Traditional, Prime ATS and Pure ATS), each available in different colors, fonts and layouts.

Which resume template should I choose?

Classic suits almost any job. Traditional fits law, finance and academia. Pure ATS is the safest choice for online portals with strict systems, Prime ATS adds a bold sidebar that still reads cleanly, and Professional is the one built around a photo. The template finder above narrows it down in three questions.

Can I switch templates after I write my resume?

Yes, any time. Your content reflows into the new layout, so nothing needs retyping. Run the ATS check again afterwards to confirm the new version parses cleanly.

Do two-column resume templates work with ATS?

They don’t fail automatically, but two columns are the most common source of parsing damage. If you like a two-column look, check the parse preview in the ATS checker. If anything comes out scrambled, switch to a one-column family such as Classic or Pure ATS.

Should my resume have a photo?

It depends on where you apply. Many employers in the US and UK prefer resumes without photos, while photos are common in other countries. Professional is the family designed around a photo; the other four don’t use one.

Can I download my resume as a PDF?

PDF download comes with every paid plan and keeps your template exactly as you see it. The free plan downloads plain text (TXT).
