Keyword gap
Every term the posting wants, and every one you are missing
Paste a job description and we line your resume up against it — matched terms, near-misses, and the skills the posting keeps repeating that appear nowhere in your file.

How the scan works
The analysis screen shows you exactly these stages while they run. It takes a few seconds because there is genuinely something to do.
We pull the raw text out of your PDF in reading order — including what gets scrambled by columns, tables, and text boxes.
Contact details, work history, education, skills. If a parser cannot find a section, a recruiter searching for it will not either.
Skills and titles are compared against the role — and against your pasted job description when you add one.
Columns, graphics, headers, date formats, and file structure — the mechanical things that quietly break a parse.
Parse simulation
The choices that impress a person — columns, icons, charts, text boxes — are the same ones that quietly delete information on the way into a recruiter's database. This is the check almost nobody has seen run on their own file.
The candidate record it built
The example above shows the parse failures we see most often. Run your own file to find out which of them apply to you.
Inside the report
Five reads on the same file. The score and a parse preview are free; the full fix list opens with a free account — no card, ever, for the report itself.
Transparent scoring
Most resume scores are a black box, which is exactly why people distrust them. Ours is six weighted components, published, and every point you lose is traced back to a specific line in your file.
And one thing we will not tell you
No applicant tracking system auto-rejects a resume at a fixed score. Anyone who tells you 75% is a hard gate is selling you something. Treat the number as a measure of how much of your resume actually reaches a human, and how closely it matches the role you picked — around 75% on a tailored scan is a healthy place to stop editing.
How much of your resume survives extraction, in the right reading order.
Overlap with the target role, weighted toward terms the posting repeats.
Whether contact, experience, education, and skills are each findable.
Columns, tables, graphics, headings, and date consistency.
Whether bullets state ownership and measurable outcomes.
Tense, capitalisation, spelling, and repeated phrasing.

Yes. Your ATS score, the parse preview showing what an applicant tracking system reads out of your file, the issue count by category, and your top three missing keywords all require no account and no payment. The complete fix list opens with a free account and no credit card. You only pay if you want Rezoom to rewrite the resume for you.
No. Upload the file and the score appears. Almost every other checker asks for an email before it shows you a number; we deliberately do not, because a score you cannot see is not a free check.
PDF, up to 10 MB. Upload the same PDF you actually send to employers — the point of the scan is to test the file a parser will receive, not a cleaned-up copy of it.
On a scan tailored to a specific job description, around 75% is a sensible place to stop editing. Below roughly 50% something structural is usually wrong — content is being lost in the parse, or the resume is aimed at a different role than the one you picked. The score is a proxy for two things: how much of your resume survives extraction, and how closely what survives matches the role.
No, and anyone claiming a specific cut-off is guessing. An ATS is a database and a search tool: recruiters filter, sort, and search it. A resume that parses badly does not get rejected by a robot — it just fails to appear in the searches that would have surfaced it, or it arrives on a screen with half its content missing. That is the real cost, and it is what the score measures.
It is optional, and it materially improves the result. Without one you get a general scan: parse quality, structure, formatting, and completeness. With one you also get keyword match against that specific posting, the terms it repeats that are missing from your file, and a seniority read against what the role is asking for.
Not automatically, but it is the single most common source of real damage. Some parsers read columns in the correct order; many read straight across, which interleaves your sidebar into your job titles. The parse preview shows you which of those happened to your file specifically, so you can decide rather than guess.

Three things. It shows you the parse simulation — the actual text a system extracts from your file — which almost nobody surfaces. It shows the score with no email wall. And it publishes the scoring weights, so you can see exactly which component cost you points instead of taking a number on faith.
Yes. The report tells you what to change for free; a paid plan rewrites it — flattening the layout, moving contact details into the body, adding the missing terms in context, and tightening bullets so they state ownership and outcomes. You can also do every one of those edits yourself from the free report.
