Quote rate statistics, not totals, and say over how many games
"Averaged 71 points per game" tells the reader nothing, because points per game is mostly a function of tempo. "Raised effective field goal percentage from 44.1 to 49.6 across 48 games" survives a change of tempo.
The NBA's statistics glossary defines effective field goal percentage as a measure that "adjusts for made 3-point field goals being 1.5 times more valuable than made 2-point field goals", offensive rating as "points scored per 100 possessions", turnover ratio as "the number of turnovers a player or team averages per 100 possessions used", and defensive rebound percentage as "the percentage of available defensive rebounds a player or team obtains while on the floor" (nba.com, retrieved 17 September 2026).

The cadence is the claim. Anyone can say they watch film. For example, a coach who can say "within 18 hours, every game, two seasons" is describing a system that survives a bad week, and that is what a program buys.
