Summary
A Jollibee resume is a one page quick service restaurant application built around the stations you can work, the speed and accuracy you hold on each, your food handler card and the hours you can cover. This guide gives you three adaptable versions, an honest method for presenting work experience earned overseas, and current Bureau of Labor Statistics pay for food service work.
Jollibee resume examples by experience level
A Jollibee resume is a one page quick service restaurant application, written around the stations you can run, how fast and how accurately you run them, and the food safety certification that lets you start.
This guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Jollibee Foods Corporation or any other restaurant company, and it contains no inside knowledge of any company's hiring, pay or interview process. It uses publicly published careers information from one large international quick service chain, alongside federal wage data and published certification standards, as a worked example. All of it applies to any quick service employer.
It also takes seriously the two people who most often apply for these jobs: someone looking for a first job, and someone whose experience was earned in another country.

How to write a Jollibee resume
Six sections: contact header, summary, availability, work experience, food safety certification, and education. One page, always, until you are applying to manage a restaurant.
Certification gets its own block rather than a line inside education, because in food service it is a legal gate. California state law requires that all food handlers in the state obtain a California Food Handler Card, and new hires have 30 days from their date of hire to get one (ServSafe, California Food Handler program page, accessed September 2026). A candidate holding the card is available a month sooner than one who is not.
| Section | What it is answering | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Role and summary | Which part of the restaurant is this person for? | Top, under the name |
| Availability | Can they cover open, close and the weekend rush? | Under the summary |
| Stations | What can they be put on unsupervised? | Own block, not buried in bullets |
| Certification | Can they legally start this week? | Own block, near the bottom |
Apply to a named role, not to the restaurant
Quick service chains hire into a named position, and the published ladder is short.
Jollibee publishes its restaurant roles openly on its United States careers site: Store Crew, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, District Manager and Area Manager (Jollibee USA careers site, jollibeefoods.com, accessed September 2026).
Write your title line as the position you want: "Quick Service Crew Member, front counter and drive-through" or "Shift Leader, quick service restaurant". That line does more sorting than the rest of the page.
Run the file through the free Rezoom ATS resume checker first; most chains parse applications into a structured record before a manager opens anything.
Choosing the best resume format for a Jollibee resume
Reverse chronological, one page, single column, no photograph.
Quick service managers read for two things a timeline answers immediately: whether you have worked real volume, and whether you stayed anywhere. A functional layout hides both, and in an industry with high turnover, hiding dates is guaranteed to be read badly.

Four lines. City and state only. Put the food handler card in the header if you already hold it, because it changes your start date.
Make use of a summary
Three to four lines: the role, where you have done this work, one speed or accuracy number, and your hours.
Quick service crew member with three years of counter and kitchen work at a mall food outlet in Quezon City, Philippines, now in the United States and holding a current California Food Handler Card. Ran front counter through a lunch peak of roughly 300 covers in two hours, took orders in English, Tagalog and Ilocano, and closed the register with no variance on 94 of my last 100 shifts. Available evenings, weekends and holidays, including opening shifts from 6am.
Quick service shift leader with five years in high-volume restaurants, running a 9-person crew across front counter, drive-through, fry and assembly. Cut average drive-through service time from 3 minutes 48 seconds to 2 minutes 55 seconds across two quarters by rebalancing assembly at peak, while order accuracy rose from 93% to 97%. Hold a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and run the opening and closing checklists, temperature logs and cash counts.
Assistant restaurant manager in quick service, responsible for a 32-person crew, the weekly schedule and the food safety program in a restaurant taking roughly 4,200 transactions a week. Held order accuracy above 96% for four consecutive quarters and passed two county health inspections with no major violations. Trained 14 crew members to shift leader standard, 5 of whom have been promoted, and cut crew turnover from 118% to 74% over a year.
Right vs wrong: the same Jollibee resume summary, twice
| ✅ Right | ❌ Wrong |
|---|---|
| Shift leader with five years in high-volume restaurants, running a 9-person crew across four stations. | Hard-working team player with experience in the fast food industry. |
| Cut drive-through service time from 3 minutes 48 seconds to 2 minutes 55 seconds across two quarters. | Responsible for providing fast and friendly service to customers. |
| Hold a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and run temperature logs and cash counts. | Knowledgeable about food safety and health regulations. |
The right column can be checked and rostered. The wrong column is what four hundred other applicants wrote for the same opening.
Outline your experience
Employer, restaurant format, city, dates, then three to five bullets. Each bullet names a station or a shift and carries a number, because in quick service everything is already counted.
| Instead of | Use |
|---|---|
| Worked at the front counter taking orders | Ran front counter through a lunch peak of roughly 300 covers in two hours, at 97% order accuracy |
| Prepared and cooked food | Held the fry station through peak, hold times inside the 20 minute standard, hourly temperature logs completed |
| Responsible for cleaning and closing | Ran the closing checklist alone 4 nights a week: breakdown, sanitizing, waste log, cash count, deposit |
| Handled money | Closed the register with no variance on 94 of my last 100 shifts |
| Helped train new staff | Trained 14 crew members across 3 stations, 5 of whom went on to shift leader |
Shift Leader, Quick Service Restaurant, Daly City, CA, January 2024 to Present
Run a 9-person crew across front counter, drive-through, fry and assembly through the lunch and dinner peaks, 5 shifts a week.
Cut average drive-through service time from 3 minutes 48 seconds to 2 minutes 55 seconds across two quarters by rebalancing assembly at peak.
Order accuracy across my shifts rose from 93% to 97% over the same period, measured on remakes and customer reports.
Own the opening and closing checklists, hourly temperature logs, cooling and hold-time records, and the nightly cash count and deposit.
Trained 14 crew members across 3 stations, 5 promoted to shift leader.
Name the stations you can run and the times you hold on each
This is the block almost nobody includes, and it decides whether a manager can use you on Saturday.
A quick service restaurant is not one job. It is five or six stations running at once under a clock, and a manager building a schedule is filling station slots, not headcount. The applicant who says "I can run drive-through window, assembly and fry, and I can open" has answered the question. "Fast food experience" has not.
| Station | Measured on | What to put on the page |
|---|---|---|
| Front counter | Orders an hour, accuracy, cash variance | Covers through peak, accuracy percentage, register variance |
| Drive-through | Service time from order to handover, accuracy | Average service time, before and after, cars an hour |
| Assembly and expedite | Ticket times, remakes, hold times | Tickets an hour, remake rate, hold-time compliance |
| Fry and grill | Cook and hold times, temperature logs, waste | Hold-time standard met, log completion, waste percentage |
| Prep | Yields, rotation, date labeling, cooling | Batches prepped a shift, cooling log compliance |
| Close and open | Checklist completion, cash count, sanitizing | Closes run solo a week, deposit accuracy |
Stations I can run unsupervised: Front counter, Drive-through window, Assembly and expedite, Fry, Prep
Stations I have been trained on: Grill, Dessert and beverage
Shift roles: Opening (from 6am), Closing (full checklist, cash count and deposit), Weekend peak lead
Speed and accuracy: Drive-through average 2 minutes 55 seconds; order accuracy 97%; register variance nil on 94 of last 100 shifts
Only claim a time you can explain. Speed of service is measured differently from chain to chain, and you will be asked what the clock started and stopped on. If you do not know your restaurant's numbers, count what you can yourself: covers through a peak, tickets an hour, remakes in a shift, or closes run solo.
Then write availability as a block, not the word "flexible".
Availability: Monday to Friday from 3pm, Saturday and Sunday open to close
Also available for: opening shifts from 6am, closing shifts, public holidays, split shifts
Not available: Tuesday and Thursday mornings until 2pm through June 2027, due to a class
Notice period: two weeks
Opening, closing and weekend cover is the scarce commodity in quick service. Saying which of those you will take puts you in a much smaller pile, and being honest about what you cannot do stops a schedule breaking in week two.
Putting overseas work experience on a US quick service resume
If your experience was earned in another country, it counts, and there is a way to write it so a manager can read it in four seconds.
The foreign born accounted for 19.1 percent of the US civilian labor force in 2025, at a labor force participation rate of 66.3 percent (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Labor Force Characteristics of Foreign-Born Workers, released 19 May 2026). The chains are international too: one publishes 103 stores in North America and more than 1,700 globally (Jollibee USA site, jollibeefoods.com, accessed September 2026), inside a group reporting 10,341 stores at the end of 2025, 3,504 in the Philippines and 6,837 international (Jollibee Foods Corporation, full year 2025 results, jollibeegroup.com, accessed September 2026).
Six rules that make overseas experience legible:
| Do this | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Write the city and country in full, every time | "Quezon City, Philippines" is instantly placed; "QC" is not |
| Translate the job title, keeping the original in brackets | "Crew Member (Service Crew)" reads correctly to a manager and a parser |
| Give scale in numbers, not brand names | "Roughly 300 covers in a two hour lunch peak" travels; a local chain name does not |
| Say the language of service | "Took orders in English, Tagalog and Ilocano" is a real asset in a diverse trading area |
| List the certification you hold here, not there | A foreign food safety certificate rarely satisfies a US county |
| State work authorization once, plainly, if you want to | "Authorized to work in the United States" removes a doubt without inviting questions |
Get the local card before you apply, not after
Food safety certification does not travel across borders, and in most cases it does not travel across states either.
In California, state law requires that all food handlers obtain a California Food Handler Card, and new hires have 30 days from the date of hire to get one (ServSafe, California Food Handler program page, accessed September 2026). For supervisory roles the bar is higher: some states and localities require food service managers to hold food safety certification, and managers may obtain the Food Protection Manager Certification by passing an exam (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025). The ServSafe version is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board under Conference for Food Protection standards (ServSafe, accessed September 2026).
Holding the card before you apply moves you from "available in a month" to "available Monday".
Do not shrink the overseas work to one line. Three years running a counter in Quezon City is three years running a counter, and written with covers, accuracy and cash variance it reads exactly like three years running a counter in Daly City.
Build a snapshot of your key skills
Ten to fourteen entries in three groups: stations and operations, food safety, and service. Languages belong here too, and in quick service they are an operational asset.
Stations and operations: Front counter, Drive-through window, Assembly and expedite, Fry and grill, Prep and batch cooking, Opening and closing procedures
Food safety: Time and temperature logs, Cooling and reheating records, Date labeling and stock rotation, Allergen handling, Sanitizing and chemical dilution, Waste logging
Service and cash: Point of sale, Cash count and deposit, Refunds and remakes, Remake reduction, Delivery platform orders
Languages: English (fluent), Tagalog (native), Ilocano (conversational)
List your education, food safety certification and training
Certification first, because it decides when you can start. Education after, briefly, with the country named.
ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board under Conference for Food Protection standards, 2025
California Food Handler Card, ANAB-accredited provider, current
Allergen awareness training, employer program, 2025
Bachelor of Science, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila, Philippines, 2018
Note on the degree: a foreign qualification does not need a credential evaluation for a crew or shift role. It is worth evaluating only for a salaried management post that lists a degree requirement.
The entry bar is low, so do not screen yourself out. The typical entry-level education for food and beverage serving and related workers is no formal educational credential (BLS, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025).
Choose the right layout and design
One page, single column, plain type at 11 or 12 point, clear headings, no photograph, no icons, no skill bars.
Chain applications are parsed into structured fields before a restaurant manager sees them, and two-column templates, text boxes and graphics are where that parsing breaks. In many countries a photograph on a resume is normal; in the United States it is not, and it can have an application set aside for compliance reasons.
Name one position in your title line. List the stations you can run unsupervised, separately from those you were trained on. Put a number in every bullet: covers, tickets, service time, accuracy, variance. Get the local food handler card before you apply. Write overseas employers with the city and country in full and the title translated. Say whether you will open, close and work holidays.
Do not write "fast food experience" when the station list is what gets you scheduled. Do not quote a service time you cannot explain. Do not translate an overseas certificate into a US one; get the US one. Do not add a photograph, standard in some countries and not here. Do not hide short tenures behind a functional layout. Do not pad to two pages for a crew role.
Quick service restaurant job market and outlook
A very large occupation, growing faster than average, with enormous replacement demand.
| Measure | Food and beverage serving and related workers |
|---|---|
| Employment, 2025 | 5,143,000 |
| Projected change, 2025-35 | 5% (faster than average), +280,800 |
| Projected annual openings | About 1,078,500 |
| Typical entry-level education | No formal educational credential |
| Median hourly wage, May 2025 | $15.24 |
Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025 wage data and 2025-35 projections.
Over a million openings a year, and almost all of them are turnover
Food and beverage serving and related workers are projected to grow 5% between 2025 and 2035, adding 280,800 jobs, with about 1,078,500 openings projected each year on average over the decade (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2025-35 projections). Growth accounts for a small fraction of that number; the rest is people leaving. Food services and drinking places employ 81% of these workers (BLS, May 2025).
Read that as an applicant and it means one thing. Getting hired is not the hard part. Being the person a manager keeps, promotes and schedules first is the hard part, and the resume's job is to show you know what that takes: stations, certification and reliable hours.
The ladder above crew is where the money changes. Food service managers had a median annual wage of $69,390 as of May 2025, with employment of 344,300 projected to grow 6% through 2035, an increase of 19,900 jobs and about 38,800 openings a year; the typical entry-level education is a high school diploma or equivalent (BLS, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025). This is one of the few occupations where a crew job leads to a salaried post without a degree.
What salary you can expect in quick service
The median hourly wage for food and beverage serving and related workers was $15.24 as of May 2025. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $10.98 and the highest 10 percent more than $20.67. Fast food and counter workers had a median of $15.00 an hour and fast food cooks $14.85 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025).
Cooks as a whole had a median of $36,640 a year over the same cycle, with about 393,200 openings projected annually, so moving from counter to kitchen is a real step rather than a sideways one (BLS, May 2025).
Base rates in quick service are set as a band before you apply, so your resume is not negotiating the hourly rate. What it decides is how quickly you reach the shift leader rate, and that turns on three things you can put on a page today: the stations you can run unsupervised, whether you hold a manager-level food safety certification, and whether you can open and close.

Jollibee resume questions, answered
How long should a Jollibee resume be?
One page for crew and shift leader roles. Two pages only once you are applying to manage a restaurant and have a crew size, a schedule, a food safety program and results to describe.
Can I apply with no work experience at all?
Yes. The typical entry-level education for food and beverage serving and related workers is no formal educational credential, and about 1,078,500 openings a year are projected over the decade (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025). Write school, sports, volunteering, family business or caring responsibilities as work: what you did, how often, and who relied on it. Then get the food handler card, since it is the one thing a first-time applicant can hold that most others do not.
My experience is from another country. Does it count?
It counts. Write the city and country in full, translate the job title into its US equivalent and keep the original in brackets, and give scale in numbers rather than brand names a US manager will not recognize. Say which languages you served in. The one thing that does not transfer is food safety certification: get the local card, since California requires a Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (ServSafe, California Food Handler program page, accessed September 2026).
How do I get from crew to shift leader?
Published restaurant roles at one large international chain run Store Crew, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, District Manager and Area Manager (Jollibee USA careers site, jollibeefoods.com, accessed September 2026). A resume can show the two things managers promote on before the title exists: running more stations than anyone else on the roster, and training other people. Both are countable, so count them.
Is a management certification worth getting early?
Yes, if you intend to stay in food service. Some states and localities require food service managers to hold food safety certification, and managers may obtain the Food Protection Manager Certification by passing an exam. Food service managers had a median annual wage of $69,390 as of May 2025 against $15.24 an hour for serving and related workers, and the typical entry requirement is a high school diploma (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook, May 2025).
