Write the master schedule into your first paragraph
A principal reading applications in June is not thinking about pedagogy. They are thinking about an unfilled Physics section, a Chemistry section that a retiring teacher is leaving, and one period of something nobody wants.

Shortage subjects and crowded subjects
If you teach maths, science or special education, say the endorsement in the first line and keep the letter short, because you are in demand and the letter's job is only to be unambiguous. If you teach a crowded subject such as English, social studies or physical education, spend the letter on differentiation: the second endorsement, the elective you can build, the coaching, the club, the dual credit eligibility, the language you speak. Read the campus's own pages and name one real thing about them.
Do not open with a philosophy of education; it delays the only facts the reader is looking for. Do not describe yourself as passionate, dedicated or student-centred, which every letter in the folder does. Do not send a letter with no campus name in it. Do not claim a course you are not certified for, since human resources checks the certificate before the principal calls.
Three subjects, most of the shortage
