Everyone writes the top of their ladder. The chair already has someone who can teach Precalculus; what they are short of is someone who can teach it and still take two sections of Algebra I without treating it as a demotion.

Pick one and give it four sentences. A letter listing all six reads as a resume that lost its formatting.

At the top of the sequence, spend one sentence on it and the rest of the letter proving you will teach the bottom too, because that is the doubt. At the bottom, name the rung above as licensed and not yet taught, and give the failure or repeat rate you moved.
